Living with COVID-19 should not mean ignoring it, in fact we have to live with the SARS-CoV-2 virus – that is changing constantly – for a number of years and the World Health Organisation (WHO) is now worried about a new variant that is more contagious than Omicron, and potentially more lethal this winter in the northern hemisphere.
It is essential that all those at risk and those most exposed to the disease get vaccinated against the new variant and also take the seasonal flu vaccine, not allowing the viruses to act simultaneously and synergistically.
